Hire, buy software, or automate? How to choose your next step.
An overflowing inbox can mean you need another person. It can also mean the tools and processes you already have need attention. Start with the work before choosing the purchase.
Hire when the work needs a person
An accountant brings interpretation, a consultant brings judgment, and an operations manager brings leadership. Hire when those strengths are what you are missing, or when demand exceeds the capacity of a well-run team. First, separate that work from document chasing, duplicate entry, and routine updates.
Configure what you already own
Before adding software, check the workflows, templates, reminders, and integrations included in your current tools. A configuration change may solve the problem. If your team or software provider can implement it reliably, you may not need a separate engagement.
Buy software when a product fits
A proven product can be the most economical answer to a standard problem. Check how it fits your existing tools, who will own the setup, and whether people will use it. Include subscriptions, migration, training, and ongoing administration in the comparison.
Bring in Jovadan when the work needs an owner
Jovadan fits when repetitive work crosses tools and teams, and nobody has the time or technical experience to make the improvements happen. I map the workflow, check existing capabilities, agree a practical scope, implement the changes, and train your team. AI is one option; straightforward automation may be sufficient.
What about a CTO?
A CTO can lead technology strategy, architecture, security, and a technical team. That responsibility is broader than a workflow implementation project and can matter even in a services business. Jovadan does not replace that role. Choose technology leadership when that is the responsibility you need covered.
Compare the whole cost
The Founders engagement is $20,000 including a $5,000 diagnostic; Standard is $30,000 including an $8,000 diagnostic. The diagnostic sits within the ninety days. Implementation scope and milestones are agreed before the build. Include any necessary software, API, and maintenance costs when assessing the business case. Recovered staff time has value, but it is not automatically payroll spending eliminated.
